SOCKEEP is the Sochi and Kazan English Education Partnership.
SOCKEEP is made up of leading colleges and universities from the West Midlands, Yorkshire and South of England.
The membership includes School of Thought 2000 Ltd (SOT2K), Leeds Metropolitan University, Worcester University, Doncaster College, Guildford College and Walsall College.
The co-ordination is undertaken by School of Thought 2000 Ltd specialists in Russian Education market entry and Joint British and Russian Academic and Curriculum partnerships. SOT2K acts as the interface and administrative contact between Russian and British institutions and government departments.
SOCKEEP (Sochi and Kazan Education Partnership) was established in 2008 as a provider of the highest quality of UK training and education, with the purpose of supporting human resource development and building capacity for the 2014 Winter Olympics. The decision to form SOCKEEP was made in order to consolidate the ongoing work by would be SOCKEEP members in Krasnodar region and Tatarstan.
SOCKEEP is made up of leading providers of vocational and higher education in the broad field of leisure, hospitality and tourism.
Amongst its products are Hospitality and Customer Care training, Airline Operations, Transport operations including train station, sea-port and airport operations in terms of security, logistics and customer service, English Language, Event Management, Sport and Leisure Facility Management, Volunteer Training and Management. The consortium includes two university partners; Leeds Metropolitan and Worcester University, who are specialist providers of Event and Sports Event Management, Volunteer Management, Sports Science and Sports & Leisure Management at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
These products can be offered as vocational, professional or degree courses, short courses or as on-line learning to partner institutions in English and in Russian to support the existing education providers and municipal authorities in their preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and World Student Games of 2013 in Kazan to achieve a lasting and sustainable legacy of these two great sporting events.
